Contemporary Slavery

We know that dual, and even multiple, personality can be both caused and cured by hypnotism. . .  Moreover. . . the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde combination, is a very real one once it is established. . .   the key to creating an effective spy or assassin rests in splitting a man’s personality, or creating a multiple personality, with the aid of hypnotism. . .  This is not science fiction. . .   I have done it.

George Estabrooks, PH.D., in his book Hypnotism, 1943.

The use of  'waking hypnosis' in counter intelligence during World War II occasionally became so involved that it taxed even my credulity. Among the most complicated ploys used was the practice of sending a perfectly normal, wide awake agent into enemy camp, after he'd been carefully coached in waking hypnosis to  act the part of a potential hypnotism subject.

George Estabrooks was a Canadian-American psychologist. We have records of his correspondence with J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI and letters to the CIA.

It is reasonable to surmise that for as long as humans have existed, so have attempts at psychological manipulation. Socialization and enculturation, as natural as they are to humans and human society, are processes of behavior control. Methods are well documented, from the manipulative charisma of cult leaders, to coercive omertà in organized crime syndicates, from Mesmerists to advertisers. Psychological operations in warfare are also documented throughout recorded history. Perhaps it was inevitable that, given such great advances in science and technology over the last 150 years, a new form of slavery would emerge, one based in the mind. In spite of the 13th Amendment, that is exactly what has happened. Much of the work is classified, its secrets guarded zealously, even violently, and so an entire class of slaves remains hidden in the shadows. Here is a brief overview of the major components of this form of slavery and how they came together.

Dissociative Identity Disorder

Most people become of aware of Dissociative Identity Disorder, or as it was once called, Multiple Personality Disorder, through movies like Sybil, Split, or tv shows like The United States of Tara. Unfortunately, the entertainment industry greatly sensationalizes the condition, making a mockery of behaviors and symptoms that aren't normally observable. In 96% of cases, DID manifests as an internal experience of fragmentation and discontinuity of memory and ability. Most people who have DID function well and outwardly behave no differently than anyone else. Many have held prestigious positions in society.

DID exists when aspects of a person's personality are split and can function independently of one another. It is the ability to switch between different states of consciousness, each with some portion of self perception. The condition is an adaptive response to severe, prolonged and/or early childhood abuse, including emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Dissociated parts of self, also called alters, keep awareness of overwhelming experiences out of consciousness, so that the child can carry on with the routine necessities of life. The risk of developing DID is highest when it is a parent or significant caregiver who is abusive. The child splits correspondingly to maintain a bond with the person who provides food and shelter, and who also inflicts life threatening violence.

DID is not a new or culturally bound phenomenon. The first case in Western medicine was described in the 17th century. Folk references to traumatic amnesia and split consciousness occur across cultures and time periods. A common feature of DID is the presence of amnesia between alter states. It is this amnesia that intelligence agencies and slave owners find invaluable.

Weaponizing the Folk Wisdom of Organized Crime Groups and Obtaining Subjects

There is no question that organized crime exists, or that abuse runs in families. There are questions however, over the existence of sophisticated, hidden co-cultures of networked family groups or secret societies that perform sadistic, ritualistic, and sexualized rites involving torture and even murder. There are questions about how ancient ritual practices could obtain with little challenge down through the generations and survive in contemporary society. These questions persist, despite the fact there is hard evidence that these groups exist, and there is little functional difference between the former and the latter.

According to survivor testimony, there is great overlap between members of occult organized crime networks and human experimentation program personnel. This makes sense considering that the networks profit either commercially or through influence by pandering their children to pedophiles in the community, including those in positions of power. Woven into ritual practice is a folk wisdom of dissociation. Children are not only threatened to keep the secret, they are trained to “forget” the secret. While in ritual, adults address them as a different person, and then command they re-emerge as their former selves into the daylight or normative world. Children who are already being exploited in organized crime groups make perfect subjects for behavioral experimentation. They are often already adept at dissociating, and their parents are compliant or easily threatened with exposure or legal action.

There is more evidence, however circuitous, of a connection between these less formal ritualized practices and behavioral experimentation programs. In the wake of WWII,  in a project code named Paperclip, the CIA brought over some 1500 former Nazi and German scientists to work in the US. Nazi interest in the occult is well documented, as are German cases of organized pedophilic abuse. The most famous Paperclip German went on to run the US space program. It is still unknown where many of the other scientists were assigned. Two of the doctor perpetrators who tortured me in the labs spoke with a heavy German accent.

Contemporary Slavery through Torture-Conditioning:
Otherwise known as Mind Control

Immediately following WWII, the CIA and defense intelligence services initiated formal behavioral experimentation programs. The goal was to develop reliable interrogation control techniques. By 1963, the CIA had synthesized many of the findings from its psychological research. Some of these were laid out in what became known as the KUBARK Counterintelligence Interrogation handbook. A decade later, CIA director Richard Helms, fearing that these activities would be exposed  to the public, ordered the umbrella project terminated, and all related files destroyed.

Subsequent to the Church and Pike congressional hearings in the 1970's, researcher John Marks was able obtain around 18,000 documents, due to a CIA clerical error. The documents show that interrogation and behavior control techniques were tested on hundreds of unwitting subjects at over 80 facilities across the US.

This was a very limited hangout. People who work with survivors like myself estimate that since the programs began, tens of thousands have been subjected to torture, experimentation and unwitting use in operations. At base, how torture-conidtioning works is rather quite simple. It is the application of classical conditioning to the capacity of dissociation. Once subjects have been conditioned, they can be forced to carry out any number of activities, all while unwitting, and regardless of their own will. During conditioning sessions, subjects are trained to respond to external cues. These cues can come in a multitude of forms, from visual symbols, to computer tones. Once the subject is exposed to the cue, she obeys immediately, dissociates or switches into the required alter state, carries out the assigned task, and then returns to normal life with no memory of what happened.

Survivors report being used for prostitution, political blackmail, medical experimentation, technology development, domestic and foreign covert operations, and criminal activity, in service to their masters in a variety of government agencies, the military, individuals, and corporations. As far as we know, children are still being taken for these programs today.

TLDR FAQ

Who is carrying out this torture?
Survivors report being used by a variety of organizations, including government agencies, corporations, and private criminal networks.

Why?
Once subjects have been torture-conditioned, they can be used to carry out any number of activities, unwittingly and against their will. Survivors report being used for prostitution, medical experimentation, technology development, domestic and foreign covert operations, and crime.

How do perpetrators obtain subjects?
Inductees are pulled from abusive, or organized crime families. Exploited children  are often already adept at managing the effects of extreme trauma and their parents are compliant or easily coerced with the threat of exposure or legal action.

Aren’t memories recoved after amnesia unreliable?
Memories formerly inaccessible due to dissociation are no more or less reliable that ordinary memories. In some cases, on first access, they may be more reliable because of their frozen quality. There is evidence that the concept of False Memory Syndrome was invented by the same men contracted to carry out mind control experimentation. See:
