Formerly the Bill of Rights

Dec 15, 2011

Here is thorough article, by Glenn Greenwald, on how the administration has acted on the issue leading up to passage of the bill.

Obama to sign indefinite detention bill into law

The ACLU said last night that the bill contains “harmful provisions that some legislators have said could authorize the U.S. military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians, including American citizens, anywhere in the world” and added: “if President Obama signs this bill, it will damage his legacy.” Human Rights Watch said that Obama’s decision “does enormous damage to the rule of law both in the US and abroad” and that “President Obama will go down in history as the president who enshrined indefinite detention without trial in US law.”

Recovery, Revolution

Dec 08, 2011

It's the mountain versus the spoon, you know. The work may never be done, and in the effort, we falter, as each action builds upon the next without much movement at all until finally, on our knees, we relinquish.  That's when it's hardest to get back up and retrieve the spoon, but if we wrest enough strength from inside, aided by outside, we may find it was a ladle in our hands, for once.

Sirhan, the Hypno-Programmed Assassin

Dec 05, 2011

Dr. William F. Pepper is the attorney who successfully represented the King family in their 1999 wrongful death suit over the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. His case established that King's assassination was the result of a conspiracy involving multiple parties including the government, and that King was likely shot by a Memphis policemen, not James Earl Ray.

Dr. Pepper now represents Sirhan Sirhan, the Arab American convicted of assassinating presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy in 1967. Pepper has filed in federal court to have Sirhan's conviction overturned, or at least to hold a new evidentiary hearing.  Most striking is that Pepper has included in his petition evidence that Sirhan was hypno-programmed to serve as a decoy to a second shooter.  I am unaware of any other high profile case in which mind control has played a major role. I applaud Dr. Pepper for his courage in attempting to bring the activity to light in this case and to describe it to national and international media as a real phenomena.

From CNN: http://articles.cnn.com/2011-11-26/justice/justice_california-sirhan-rfk_1_sirhan-sirhan-assassination-bullet?_s=PM:JUSTICE

Convicted RFK assassin Sirhan Sirhan seeks prison release

The attorneys further assert that Sirhan was hypno-programmed to be a diversion for the real assassin and allege that Sirhan would be easily blamed for the assassination because he is an Arab. Sirhan, 67, is a Christian Palestinian born in Jerusalem whose parents brought him and his siblings to America in the 1950s.

Sirhan "was an involuntary participant in the crimes being committed because he was subjected to sophisticated hypno programming and memory implantation techniques which rendered him unable to consciously control his thoughts and actions at the time the crimes were being committed," court papers said.

Court papers filed by Sirhan's attorneys say the state "refuses to acknowledge that hypno programming/mind control is not fiction but reality and has been used for years by the U.S. military, Central Intelligence Agency and other covert organizations.

"Though the practices of hypno programming/mind control is hardly new, the public has been shielded from the darker side of the practice. The average person is unaware that hypnosis can and is used to induct antisocial conduct in humans," Sirhan's court filings say.

In his book on the other Kennedy assassination, JFK and The Unspeakable: Why he died and Why It Matters, James Douglass writes,

Our collective denial of the obvious, in the setting up of Oswald and his transparent silencing by Ruby, made possible the Dallas cover-up. The success of the cover-up was the insdespensible foundation for the subsequent murders of Malcom X, Martin Luther King, and Robert Kennedy by the same forces at work in our government - and in ourselves. Hope for change in the world was targeted and killed four times over. The cover-up of all four murders, each leading into the next, was based first of all, on denial - not the govnerment's, but our own. The unspeakable is not far away.

And so it is with mind control, thousands of victims over 6 decades abandoned by a society not just unaware, but in deep denial. A glance at the ridicule some commentators have heaped upon Pepper's hypno-programming claim suggests this denial is intensified by an enormous underlying fear. Some may come to distrust their government, but to believe that they might be vulnerable to unwitting manipulation? The defenses against such an idea run deeper than nationalism or other judgement-obstructing beliefs.  Again, I am grateful to Dr. Pepper, that he is willing to risk telling the truth.

Defaming Sybil

Nov 18, 2011

Shirley Mason as represented by Sybil Dorset is arguably the most well known case of multiple personality (Dissociative Identity Disorder) in modern history. It was largely through Flora Schreiber's book about her and her psychiatrist, Cornelia Wilbur, and the subsequent movie staring Sally Fields, that the general public came to know about the condition. Now Sybil, her doctor, and the journalist who shared their story have come under attack in a new book. (Please note, I will not further this cause by naming or linking to the book or to any of its author's other poltical or advocacy affiliations.)

Update: I will link to this article which mentions the author and her agenda and poltical affiliations. Debbie Nathan's biases are documented by NPR's David Folkenflik in: Seizures Hurt Memory, Ex-'Times' Reporter Says, dated 10/19/200, http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=15430924.

Nathan is a board member and donor for the National Center for Reason and Justice, a not-for-profit organization that contributes about $100,000 yearly to the legal defense of individuals convicted of child sexual abuse, whom the organization states have been wrongly convicted, including Father Paul Shanley "the most notorious figure in Boston's Catholic Church sexual abuse scandal.

David Folkenflik

Writer, false memory activist, and advocate for convicted pedophiles, Debbie Nathan studied Flora Shreiber's records of Sybil's treatment. Schreiber left her records in a publicly available archive at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. Nathan picked out facts from those records and then reinterpreted them to flesh out a new and defamatory narrative. None of the 3 women are alive to defend themselves.

One of the most oft repeated of those facts is a quote from Sybil early on in her treatment.  She tells Wilbur she has been lying about having multiple personalities. Nathan and members of the media latch on to this declaration as a basis for their fraud thesis, but she's being disingenuous about the healing process. Denial is a natural part of grief. Denial is also a central feature of dissociation. Therapists who treat people with DID expect to encounter one or more personality aspects who are invested in denying that they are multiple.

Child pornography and domestic child trafficking are mutli-billion dollar businesses. There are networks of people who have high stakes in keeping survivors silenced and out of treatment.  If you accept the validity of the material on this website, then for some people, the stakes get even higher. Nathan and her activist colleagues have long set their sights on the DID diagnosis. Confusing the public about the natural responses to extreme abuse, like DID, and engendering distrust of trauma therapists help to further marginalize survivors. With her Sybil campaign, Nathan has scored a major victory for people with very unsavory interests, as well as making life all the more difficult for thousands of dissociative survivors of extreme child abuse.

For more rebuttal to the fraud campaign, see Didiva.com as well as  this thread on the Rigorous Intuition discussion board.

For the truth about Sybil, I recommend Dr. Suraci's recently published book, Sybil, In Her Own Words. Unlike Nathan, Dr. Suraci not only knew Sybil but they were good friends. He says about the archives upon which Nathan based her work,

If Schreiber were clever enough to con the world, would she not be smart enough to destroy incriminating evidence, especially, since she taught at John Jay College of Criminal Justice?

I'll also leave you these words from Sybil's closest living relative, Naomi Rhode.

Originally posted here: Sybil and Multiple Perosnality Disorder

As Shirley Mason's (Sybil) closest living relative, I was close to her for the 30 plus years through the saga of her life journey. In fact, I was with her for several days during the week of her death, at her request, and was one of the only people that was in constant contact with her over those 30 years. I kept her identity confidential at her fervent request. Through all these years up until literally the day before she died, she verified the complete accuracy of the book, 'Sybil'.

Debbie Nathan claims that she contacted me for an interview in 2008 and that I declined. Over the years many people have contacted me for information about Shirley's life. Not knowing their intent, always, I have declined all such interviews. If Debbie was one of those people, I do not recall the call, as I do not keep records of every call in a busy business life. I apologize for this, but I do not recall her calling.

Knowing Dr. Connie Wilbur, and Flora Schreiber, also, the book concerns me greatly. It is an attack on their credibility, their research, and their professionalism. And, the book is a complete attack on the person I loved, Shirley Mason.

Shirley did not die a recluse. Shirley was a loving, and productive woman until her final, lengthy bout with cancer. She painted, and taught painting. She sold her paintings. She corresponded with friends, and regularly with us. She was a woman of strong spiritual faith in God, loved her books and her music, and loved our family greatly. She chose, however, to live carefully and confidentially because she was adamant that her identity not be known. She was very protective of our family and any recourse her life and story may have on us.

Docs Detail CIA’s Cold War Hypnosis Push

By Spencer Ackerman Email Author
December 28, 2010

It was an innocent time, the mid-1950s. America wasn’t yet cynical about its geopolitical games in the Cold War. Case in point: In order to maintain its spying edge over the Russkies, the CIA considered the benefits of hypnosis.

Two memos from 1954 and 1955 dredged up by Cryptome show the CIA thinking through post-hypnotic suggestion in extensive, credulous detail. How, for instance, to pass a secret message to a field operative without danger of interception?

Encode it in a messenger’s brain, an undisclosed author wrote in 1954, so he’ll have “no memory whatsoever in the waking state as to the nature and contents of the message.” Even if a Soviet agent gets word of the messenger’s importance, “no amount of third-party tactics” can pry the message loose, “for he simply does not have it in his conscious mind.” Pity the poor waterboarded captive.

But the counterintelligence benefits of hypnosis are even greater.

Veteran's Lawsuit Against CIA's Experimentation

Dec 10, 2010

Case overview from Courthouse News:

CIA Must Disclose Data on Human Experiments

By ANNIE YOUDERIAN

(CN) - A federal magistrate judge in San Francisco ordered the CIA to produce specific records and testimony about the human experiments the government allegedly conducted on thousands of soldiers from 1950 through 1975.
Three veterans groups and six individual veterans sued the CIA and other government agencies, claiming they used about 7,800 soldiers as human guinea pigs to research biological, chemical and psychological weapons.
The experiments, many of which took place at Edgewood Arsenal and Fort Detrick in Maryland, allegedly exposed test subjects to chemicals, drugs and electronic implants. Though the soldiers volunteered, they never gave informed consent, because the government didn't fully disclose the risks, the veterans claimed. They were also required to sign an oath of secrecy, according to the complaint.
The veterans filed three sets of document requests to find out who was tested, what substances they were given, and how it affected them. Between October and April, the government produced about 15,000 pages of heavily redacted records, most of which related to the named plaintiffs only.
The CIA argued that much of the information requested was protected under the Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
U.S. Magistrate Judge James Larson acknowledged that some of the requests were too broad and ordered the veterans to be more specific and to reduce the total number of requests.

Justice Department Paperclip Revelations

Dec 10, 2010

From the New York Times:

Nazis Were Given ‘Safe Haven’ in U.S., Report Says

WASHINGTON — A secret history of the United States government’s Nazi-hunting operation concludes that American intelligence officials created a “safe haven” in the United States for Nazis and their collaborators after World War II, and it details decades of clashes, often hidden, with other nations over war criminals here and abroad.

The 600-page report, which the Justice Department has tried to keep secret for four years, provides new evidence about more than two dozen of the most notorious Nazi cases of the last three decades.

Response From The National Security Archive:

Justice Department Censors Nazi-Hunting History

Archive FOIA request and lawsuit opens 45 redacted pages;
Breakdown of FOI system sparks leak of full 600-page report

Name of office head blanked out from text, also all "personal opinion" expressed;
Justice Department violates own Attorney General's directive on open government

Alternative Press Response:

CIA’s Denial of Protecting Nazis is Blatant Lie (Part 1)
by Hank P. Albarelli Jr.*

Leaks or revelations are often more compelling because of what they don’t reveal. Through Operation Paperclip, the U.S. organized a monumental transfer of black technology by actively recruiting Nazi scientists guilty of war crimes for employment by U.S. intelligence. In his three-part investigation, author H. P. Albarelli dredges up the part that was omitted from the recently-outed official report: the U.S. pointedly chose ’fervent’ Nazi scientists with experience in chemical, biological and radioactive warfare to become the architects of the CIA’s darkest military experiments involving human guinea pigs, as was the case in Nazi Germany.

Ace Study: Childhood Trauma Links to Social Ills

Oct 05, 2010

How a Traumatic Childhood Can Lead to Obesity, Health Problems and Early Death

Childhood trauma not only affects adult mental health, but can severely impact adult physical health -- even mortality.

Alternet, October 3, 2010

While it's common knowledge that childhood trauma can have far-reaching and sometimes dire consequences for adult mental health, it's less obvious that abuse, neglect, parental alcoholism, severely dysfunctional family patterns, and other stresses in childhood can severely affect adult physical health, and even mortality. However, a path-breaking epidemiological survey called the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, initiated jointly by the Kaiser Permanente HMO in California and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 1995–1997 and still continuing, demonstrates an astonishing correlation between childhood maltreatment and later-life medical illnesses and premature death.

The ACE study was based on detailed interviews with more than 17,000 Kaiser Permanente members about their childhood experiences of neglect, abuse, and family dysfunction. As the health profiles of these participants have been tracked through the years, about 70 scientific articles have been published linking childhood adversity to a host of mental and medical conditions, including among the latter autoimmune, heart, lung, and liver diseases, cancer, hepatitis or jaundice, diabetes, bone fractures, and sexually transmitted diseases.

Lynn's Art Updated!

Sep 24, 2010

I've finally tackled this long slumbering beast!  It probably needs a complete overhaul in how it relays the information, but I hadn't the energy for it. However, I've edited the old text to reflect my view of things now, updated the art gallery and re-worked  the info section. I've also added this blog... News. I intend to post news and reactions to current events having to do with organized child exploitation, torture, human experimentation and trauma-based mind control.

I hope you'll stay tuned via RSS.
